Midnight Post

An illustrated poem / comic with poetic writing exploring our relationships between ourselves, tradition, and the freedom of crafting a new life for ourselves.

The metaphor of the Church Grimm is used throughout the piece. Grimm are beings who were killed in order to be buried first in a graveyard, as it was believed the first thing to be buried in one would come back to guard the location. To prevent that fate from befalling upon a human, an animal, typically a dog due to their loyalty and symbolism as protectors, was used instead.
